Bus Fares and Bus Pass Fees

IndiGO has implemented a contactless payment system in partnership with Modeshift, offering enhanced flexibility for all riders.

With this innovative system, you will enjoy:

• Easy Tap Payments: Use your smart card or smartphone to pay fares for single rides, day passes, or monthly passes. Smart cards are free and can be picked up at the Customer Service window at IndiGO’s Indiana Mall Hub or our Main Office (1657 Saltsburg Avenue, Indiana, PA).
• Trip Planning and Payments: Plan and pay for your trips through a free mobile app or online.
• Convenient Ticket Management: Manage tickets and payments, or reload your smart card via an online portal or through the app. 
• Real-Time Updates: Access live information to make your journeys more efficient.
• Save Money with the New System!

Cash fares will increase in 2025, but riders using the app, website or a credit card at the IndiGO Main Office or Indiana Mall Hub will continue to pay the current fare rates.

Important Information
•    Bus drivers no longer sell day passes. Day passes will only be available for purchase through the app, the web portal, the Indiana Mall Hub, or our Main Office. You can buy day passes in advance—as many as you would like. Day passes do not have to be used the day you purchase them.
•    Monthly pass holders can save time and money by loading passes onto their smart cards via the app or web portal. While you can still purchase monthly passes at our Main Office or the Indiana Mall Hub, the new system offers a faster, more convenient option.

Reduced Fare Program  
IndiGO provides discounted fares for Reduced Fare cardholders. If you are under 65 and have a Medicare card, you may qualify. Apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card at IndiGO’s Indiana Mall Hub or Main Office.  

If you already have a Reduced Fare ID Card, setting up your Mobile Pay account is easy! Start by using the web portal, iOS or Android app app to create your account. Then, give us a call to activate the reduced fare designation. You can also visit either of our locations to pick up a Smart Card and register for a Mobile Pay account when you're ready to purchase a fare. With IndiGO Mobile Pay, you can conveniently buy fares online or through the app, and with a Smart Card, simply tap to board!

Free Rides for Seniors 
Seniors can ride free on all of IndiGO’s fixed route buses. Apply for a Senior Citizen Smart Card at IndiGO’s Indiana Mall Hub or Main Office. Once you have your card, simply tap it when boarding to enjoy unlimited free rides.
